To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Extended Access

If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 999 immediately. For urgent medical advice when we are closed, please call 111.

Book a Routine Appointment

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with. We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse, or health professional to help you.

Appointments will be offered either in person or by phone. Phone appointments can be more flexible and may mean the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

Book Online

All appointments are now booked using our GP online system. This is available from 7:30am to 6:30pm. This is the fastest way to get an appointment.

By Telephone

Our care navigators will ask you a few questions to understand how we can help you, and will complete our online form for you. We ask that this services is reserved for patients that do not have internet access or have trouble with technology. 

Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)

You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.

Home Visits

If you are too ill to attend the surgery, please telephone 01303 243516, before 10am if possible, so that the doctors can plan their rounds.

Visits are usually only for those who are housebound or the patient is genuinely too ill to come to the surgery. The doctor will usually telephone at some point during the morning to discuss the medical problem prior to visiting.

Children who are adequately wrapped can safely be brought to the surgery and will be seen more quickly than if visited at home. Explaining to the telephonist what is wrong helps the doctor to see the most urgent cases first and avoid unnecessary delays.

Change or cancel an appointment

  1. Use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  2. Phone us on 01303 243516
  3. Reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

Enhanced Access

Ask at reception for enhanced access information

Life Threatening

Call 999 or go to A&E now if:

  • you or someone you know needs immediate help
  • you have seriously harmed yourself – for example, by taking a drug overdose

A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.

  • You have an urgent medical issue requiring on the day attention
